Yesterday I had an inspiration.  I got out a bunch of huge pieces of colored butcher paper that was left over from making signs for school and some paint.  I told everyone in the family to choose their favorite song and listen to it with earphones while interpreting it through the medium of finger paint on  paper.  Then we hung the art up gallery style and each person got to play their song loud over a speaker while the rest of us appreciated their music and contemplated the visual expression of that song.  It was so much fun!
