I had the pleasure of chatting with archaeologist Max Bieber about Cultural Resource Management. This is a type of archaeology work that oversees the development of things like roads and housing tracts to make sure that there is no destruction of important landmarks or artifacts. Typically there will also be indigenous archaeologists or consultants as part of the team. Max explains a little bit about how this works and some of the benefits and challenges of CRM.
