Greenwater Part 2: Petroglyphs

Greenwater Valley, near Death Valley, CA, is known for an historic boom town that tried to flourish with nothing but a small spring that flowed a greenish water tinted the color of local vegetation. Supporting a large mining community on a small water supply is untenable. The people who thrived for millennia in these environs lived in small groups so as not to stress their resources and they regularly tended springs to ensure there was not so much overgrowth that the water supply would become choked off.
