I’m always astonished when I hear people say that precolombian indigenous people of the Americas didn’t “have the wheel” (which more accuately means that they did not have the axle), because what always comes to mind is this particular wheeled toy from the 500-800 CE in Mexico. Apparently they “had the wheel” AND the axle, but chose the efficiency of the human body for labor instead.
