The other day I was cooped up in my house. It was drizzling outside which foiled the outdoor plants I had. I started to feel melancholy so I took the dog out for a walk. I looked up and a Toyon bush pushing fourth profusion of life at me from the sky. I thought to myself, “How in the world could I waste time feeling melancholy on a beautiful rainy day when all I have to do is look at this?”
I am present for the gifts of life.
