Secular Christmas is wierd and wonderful.

It can be a happy day with family if you don’t take things too seriously.

We’re all just trying to make the best of this life we have and to make our loved ones happy.

Sometimes we succeed and that’s the most we can hope for. It is enough.

This year we took my 83 year old dad for his first visit to Santa’s lap.

There are many ways to rock Christmas. One year, when I was young and at liberty, I spent it alone hiding under a blanket on the couch in my one-room apartment in Hollywood. If that’s you, don’t feel bad, we’ve all been there. Things change. Now I’m attending my own teenager’s rock concerts over Christmas break. It seems strange to me that since then I’ve created a human being who can play the guitar. What a wierd world.

Merry Christmas to you. Have your freaky little Christmas and keep being you.
