I spent the morning in the prehistoric landmark, The Cave of Munits(in West Hills, CA — San Fernando Valley). It is a sacred space where powerful Chumash shaman Munits practiced his magic. Its a wonderful sandstone chimney cave full of eerie sounds and unfathomable dark coves. 
Several sprouts of the mystical datura plant grow at the entrance to the cave inviting me to contemplate the meaning of “magic” in an era when the spirit of plants and the influence of the stars were called on to guide and to heal.
